Why I Wrote This Book!
This book was written with two primary objectives. Firstly, it was crafted with a heartfelt intention to empower individuals embarking on their journey in the dynamic realm of real estate. It aims to guide new career seekers towards real estate specialty areas that align with their professional ambitions and personal aspirations.

It strives to propel them towards greater heights of success within their current specialty areas or to aid in a strategic pivot towards a more fulfilling and meaningful real estate career path—one that they may not have previously contemplated.

As a seasoned veteran in the real estate industry, I have spent the last 40 successful years in the business recruiting, teaching, training, and managing real estate agents in many areas of the real estate business. With all of this experience, I have been able to help so many find their right career path. This inspired me to write The Complete Guide to Careers in Real Estate.

My Story
Mr. Sarrett stands out as a distinguished figure in the real estate industry. With a robust foundation as a licensed managing broker. his expertise spans across residential and commercial sales, leasing, and brokerage management. His commitment to education is evident through his tenure as a licensed real estate instructor, where he has imparted knowledge in both on-campus classrooms and online platforms for various Illinois colleges, universities, and private real estate schools.
His leadership skills shone brightly during his presidency at the Chicago-based Real Estate Education Company, a prominent institution in Illinois for Real Estate and Appraisal pre-licensing. Further, as the vice president of marketing for the Realtors National Marketing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), he played a pivotal role in offering esteemed designations such as CCIM, CRS, and CRB.

Mr. Sarrett’s experience in the field is extensive, having served as a Regional Manager for one of Chicagoland’s largest residential and commercial brokerage firms and as an Industrial leasing agent for a leading national commercial real estate and finance group.

His contributions to real estate education have not gone unnoticed. As a member and former president of the Association Of Illinois Real Estate Educators, Mr. Sarrett was honored with their Appreciation of Service Award. He made history as the first Illinois recipient of the Distinguished Real Estate Instructor Designation (DREI) awarded by the Real Estate Educators Association.
His academic credentials are equally impressive and also include a B.S. and an M.B.A from Northern Illinois University, al a Certificate of Advanced Study from the Georgia Institute of Technology and he is a Certified Distance Education Instructor from IDECC, further solidifying his role as a vanguard in real estate education.
